Jr. Ducks took game one, 10-3, before Yeti Baseball bounced back in the second game with a 3-2 win. Following the games, coach Tyler Loft had the following to say: “the whole season we been a second game double header team and we talked about it after the game just now and we have to show up earlier for pregame to get our mind set right before the first game to figure it out. I told them that we are better than we showed right there and in the second game we were”. Yeti sent Jim Lanfis to the mound. He pitched 4 strong innings with 4 strikeouts on 4 hits and only giving up 2 runs. Following the game, Yeti’s Head Coach was asked about the performance of his team in which he said, “the team hit and fielded well. They did everything we had to do at the plate and ran the bases well.” In regards to the performance of his starting pitcher he said “Anthony Fedor has been our guy during the summer. From the outset, Yeti Baseball dominated the game. Starting pitcher Carson McCafery contributed both on the mound and at the plate in spectacular fashion. He struck out 10 batters in 4 innings and scored 2 runs along with 3 RBI in an 8-2 victory. McCafery also gave up several walks – 8 to be exact.
