Sharks Ride Big 4th Inning to Victory
by Nick Cipolla Despite the cold weather, the Long Island Sharks didn’t let it bother their offensive production in last night’s victory over the Pat-Med Raiders. The Raiders jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st as Gavin McMurray walked, stole second, and then scored on a throwing error as he was stealing third to make it 1-0 Raiders. The Sharks responded immediately in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs to take a 3-1 lead. James Chandler tied the game at 1 with an RBI single, Logan Kirwin crushed a go ahead double to deep left field to knock in Chandler to make it 2-1, and Jacob Abran would get Kirwin in with an RBI groundout to make it 3-1. Yeti would draw first blood in this one and take a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. Michael Crispo would draw a bases loaded walk to give his team the early lead.
