From a League 9 school just three years ago to a fully-independent program that features some of the top players in their graduating classes, it’s been a transformative time for The Stony Brook School Bears. The private school was founded in 1922, but if you ask most Long Islanders, they probably didn’t know the school existed. Despite remaining low-profile, they are soon to be a force to be reckoned with on the baseball field. I went down to their workout on Saturday morning, and you can see this is a program that will be very dangerous for the next several years.
