That was not the case for Patrick Dalien of Team Beast ...

GAME RECAP: Roslyn Bulldogs Overcome 4-0 Deficit to Win Play-In Game

It was really the tale of two games – the first inning and the next 7. In the first inning, Team Beast 14u nearly batted around, scoring four runs highlighted by a two-run single by Michael Ferdinando and a two-run double by Christopher Capone. At that moment, it seemed as if Team Beast had full command of the game and they would run away with it. We featured him as part of our “Up Next” series back in December 2020. He had a terrific sophomore season for the Arrows and even crushed a homer against Charleston-commit Josh Knoth late in the season. Below is our conversation from last season. Who are some people that have had a positive influence on your...

Please consider signing up for our monthly membership to ensure you don’t miss any content! 2021 was an incredible season for Commack. They ran through Suffolk County on their way to an appearance in the Conference I Long Island Championship against perennial powerhouse Massapequa. In a well-played game at St. Joseph’s College, the Cougars prevailed to capture their first LIC in program history. What made the accomplishment even more impressive is that they were able to do so knowing that their Head Coach, Bryan Bonin, was battling cancer. The boys were able to rally behind their coach on their way to the best season in program history and their second county title since 2017. While they definitely had some impact seniors like staff ace Craig Pihlkar, SS Connor Pedersen and CF ...

Tim Ewring on his game-winning hit and the comeback win for the Jr. Ducks @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/v8DwpxBpne — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 5, 2021 Tim Ewring stepped to the plate in the fifth inning with his Jr. Ducks trailing Beast Crimson, 4-3. After a wild pitch tied the game, there was much less pressure on him and he delivered in a big way, ripping a two-run double to give the Ducks a 6-4 lead. It was a lead they would not relinquish although Beast did threaten in the last half inning. Jr. Ducks Valiendo are a very talented team that entered this matchup with a record of 2-0 in pool play of the Labor Day Bash Powered by Axcess Baseball. They were facing another great team in the Beast Crimson, so it would take a near-flawless effort to come out on top. Afte...

Beast Red Holds off B1000 Seminoles, 2-1

by Gabe Zoda FINAL: BEAST RED 2, B1000 SEMINOLES 1. The Beast came into this game with 7 players and ended up taking this game home. pic.twitter.com/7l9qYsclFA — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 3, 2021 There was a fire in the Beast’s eyes yesterday and it allowed them to overcome a disadvantage and turn it slightly into their favor. As the season winds down in the LI Boys of Summer PG Collegiate League season, the Beast Red played against B1000 Seminoles Ferriggi.  In a day slotted for a DH, they ended up playing only one game to 9 innings due to a lack of players. This lack of players would be an issue for both sides but one team suffered more than the other.  That team would be the Beast Red squad as they would play a majority of the game with 7 players. The Seminoles had 9 s...

by Aaron Rothschild Ryan Buderman on the double header sweep pic.twitter.com/HnKF2bsQbo — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 10, 2021 It is always a treat to be able to watch good baseball at any level, but it is especially rewarding when the athletes are just eight to nine years old and play well above their age.  The LI Titans Buderman would sweep the double header from Team Beast Black by scores of 7-6, and 12-2.  The game started with a 1-2-3 inning that induced a ground out as well as two strikeouts for starter Brody S. The Titans would come to bat in the bottom of the inning where Joey F. would make it onto third but would be left stranded after a strikeout from Team Beast Starter Simon Morris.  In the second Brayden Bjornson would strike a one out double and would steal a bas...
