There were plenty of runs to go around in this game, and the Bulldogs struck first in the top of the first inning. After a couple of walks to start the game they were able to get their first run on an RBI groundout, taking a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the inning. The Black Diamond offense was able to answer immediately in the bottom of the first with four runs of their own, thanks to their heads up baserunning. The two teams battled through harsh elements at Eisenhower Park, as there were multiple weather delays, including a delay for a brief shower of hail.
