They won the first game 2-1 on a walk-off two-run single by Robert Chavarria which scored Cole Peragine and pinch runner Billy McLean.Daniel Zamora threw a seven inning complete game. He allowed only one run, struck out nine, walked two and allowed four hits. It was his third win of the season. The offense was stagnant for six innings, but they came through when it mattered most. Jack Parenty added two more hits–he is off to a tremendous start this season with 29 hits already.Division-II:Dowling also split their DH with Wilmington to bring their record to 11-4. They got out to an early 2-0 lead in the second inning on a bases loaded walk by Dylan Piscitelli, followed by an RBI single by Chris Appell.They employed a pitcher-by-committee method as Cody McPartland started and threw three shutout innings. He was relieved by Nick Persad, who contributed two shutout innings. Thomas Bashen allowed 3 ER in his 1.2 innings but Robert Rose closed the door with 0.1 innings.The difference in the game was a five-run fourth inning by the Golden Lions.
