The Skyline Conference has improved vastly over the past few seasons. There are now four teams that could legitimately win it this year. St. Joseph’s, Old Westbury and Farmingdale have each one it in the past three seasons. Below are 10 players that could have a large say in who ultimately wins it this season. By the time he was a sophomore at the University of Bridgeport, the Pat-Med grad had already dealt with Tommy John surgery as a junior in HS, the passing of his father just prior to his senior baseball season and then he tore his ACL and MCL last summer. ECC Announces All-Conference Team

Photo Credit: Dowling Athletics The ECC coaches have announced their All-Conference team and it includes a bevy of familiar names. From the first team; Dan Parisi, David Groenveld, Jon Cruz, RJ Going, Jake DeCarli, Shea Spitzbarth and P.J. Martino all have Long Island ties. Parisi was voted Baseball on the Island’s March MVP and has stayed hot–he is the second leading hitter on the Golden Lions, he is currently at .346, with 26 runs scored, 24 RBI, .414 OBP and .446 SLG as the backstop for the No. 1 seed. Groeneveld was voted Baseball on the Island’s April MVP. He is batting .305 in 95 at bats, He has compiled a .405 OBP with a .421 SLG percentage. He has committed only three errors in the field.
