Both pitchers were on their A game pitching to contact with the defense behind them making the plays Next Level would be able to break through in the second inning as they would be able to string together a walk and an RBI single from Collin Anderson to take the lead 1-0. The Lumberjacks would jump on the board early as they showed great plate discipline with the first 3 batters all working walks and scoring their runs on 2 hit-by-pitches and walks making the score 5-0.
