At Baseball Heaven, the Titans took on the Beast in a Championship game under the bright lights in Yapank. Matt Canizares got the start for the Beast. Matt had his velocity up early and was looking very good throughout his start. The Titans struck first when Colin Ross drove home the game’s first run with an RBI groundout to get the Titans up early. St. John’s-commit Kyle Chase was the starter for the Titans and he also on his game. Kyle touched 89 mph in the firs...

Here’s the walk-off by Nick Roselli in the bottom of the 9th for the 1-0 victory. One of the best games you’ll see pic.twitter.com/UUivIBcKTd — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 19, 2020 Ho-ly smokes. What a game!  The Long Island Titans-Quattrini outlasted Junior Ducks-Caputo in a classic victory, 1-0, in 9 innings to capture the 18U Northeast Elite tournament at Baseball Heaven. The game featured two brilliant arms, RHP Tommy Ventimiglia  (Longwood 2021) and Brendan Williams (West Hempstead 2021) at their absolute best and not giving an inch. The game had the feel of a fall classic with each team’s ace leaving everything on the mound and it was truly inspiring to watch. Ventimiglia wound up striking out a career-high 17 batters over 9 innings, while Williams ...

That was not the case today as the Northeast Elite 18u kicked off between Beast 2022 and NexGen Elite. The teams battled back-and-forth but ultimately it ended in a 6-6 tie as the game reached the time limit. The pitching match up was Christian Antonopoulos (Manhasset 2022) for Beast against Michael DeFilippo (Connetquot 2021) of NexGen Elite. Both teams went scoreless in the first inning. The scoring got going in the bottom of the second against DeFilippo with two outs and nobody on. Army-commit Nolan Nawr...

Final: LI Storm 1, ECL Jacks 0 WP: John Dezago (1-hit, 10-K shutout) pic.twitter.com/dVRDHTtQIG — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 17, 2020 The northeast is notorious for great pitching and cold weather and that was on display on a brisk Saturday, October afternoon. Uncommitted RHP John Dezago was outstanding all day, firing a 10-strikeout, one-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory for the LI Storm over the East Coast Lumberjacks in the 18U Northeast Elite. The lone hit that the Xaverian senior allowed was on a leadoff double in the fourth inning by Damian Amancio but he was erased as he tried to stretch it into a triple. It was an ill-advised decision to start the inning, but it did require a near perfect relay which is exactly what the Storm was able to execute. The only other threat ...

The talented squad put up 15 runs in just four innings, including eight runs in the fourth inning to post the run-rule victory over the Blue Birds. Justin Arciniegas (St. John the Baptist 2022) got the start for the Titans. The flame-throwing southpaw struggled early a bit  as he allowed two runs on three hits, a walk and a balk to fall behind early in this contest. The Titans were undeterred as they bounced right back with two runs in the home half of the first inning on an ...

In the bottom of the first, the Knights used a lead off single by Anthony Lobasso, a stolen base and an RBI ground out to take a 1-0 lead. That lead did not last very long as the Titans scored two runs in the top of the second on a two-run single by Kip Zacharia. It was a two-out hit that scored Trey Hansen and Derek Minden. Zacharia was thrown out attempting to stretch his hit into a double. In the top of the third, the Titans extended their lead to 4-1 on a big two-run double by Charlie Pipa. They added another insu...

Interview Presented by @MuddyLocker1 pic.twitter.com/EKt7jiTs6v — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 21, 2019 Sometimes big-time sluggers can just take over a game as we’ve seen plenty of time during the 2019 MLB season. That was the case this afternoon at Plainedge Park when Steven Santos was a man among boys in the 12U Northeast Elite tournament. The 12-year-old went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI including two triples in a 12-2 run-rule victory for the New York Angels over Dodgers Nation. He got their offense going in the bottom of the first on his first triple of the afternoon. He drove in T.J Bradford, who drew a two-out walk. After the triple, he scored on...

Jordan Konig Hits Walk-Off Single for Commack Crushers

Here’s Jordan Konig on his walk off hit pic.twitter.com/CqzlDU8pa4 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 21, 2019 What an outstanding game was played tonight to open up the Blue Chip Prospect Northeast Elite 12u tournament. The game was played at Cantiague Park and featured several lead changes, but ultimately it was Jordan Konig who would deliver a walk-off single in the bottom of the sixth inning to deliver the 10-9 victory for the Commack Crushers. The game began with the Tri-State Arsenal getting out to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a two-run single by Alex Wayne to drive in Thomas Walsh and Jayden Eavens. It seemed like it would be all Arsenal tonight but the Commack squad brought their sticks too. They immediately tied it up on an RBI single by Ryan Bush, who came aroun...
