St. Joseph’s Sweeps Farmingdale to Push Record over .500

Photo Credit: Vinny Messana The Farmingdale-St. Joseph’s rivalry has lost some luster in the past two seasons as the Golden Eagles suffered through some lean years, but they have gotten the momentum back in their direction with a DH sweep today by the scores of 5-3 and 7-3. In the first game, Ryan Aloise started for the Golden Eagles and he was terrific–he allowed one ER over seven innings of work, while yielding only six hits and two walks. He was backed by Joseph Calabrese‘s two hits and a bevy of RBI singles from the rest of the squad. The Rams actually took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Tom Rydzewski came around to score on Anthony Alvino‘s RBI ground out. That did not last long, as the Golden Eagles responded with a three-spot in the second thanks to RBI sin...

Farmingdale Falls to William Patterson

Photo Credit: William Patterson Athletics The losing streak hits five for the Farmingdale Rams, as they lost to William Patterson today by the score of 6-3.  They took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third on an error which scored Nick Osburn. In the bottom of the fourth the Pioneers put up two runs on starter Dalton McCarthy (0-3).  They added single runs in the fifth and sixth inning to build their lead.  The Rams fought back in the eighth inning on an RBI single by Osburn, but McCarthy flew out to end the threat. Alvino led off the ninth with a single off closer Mitch D’Amato but the Rams were unable to spark a rally as D’Amato ret...

Cashman tossed the first four innings, allowing two ER while striking out three batters. O’Conno...
