Pitching wise, it was hard to determine who had a better performance on the mound tonight. Michael Boyle was dominant through three innings of work, so when Riley Lake came on in relief in the fourth inning, it puzzled a few people at first. John Schneider told us postgame “I wanted to make it a quick game, I have a big test tomorrow.” and he did just that. Schneider had a great showing tonight, keeping it very quick as he allowed very few runners to reach base and was getting ahead of hitters early in the count.
