That staff led the team to a 16-5 record, and spearheaded their 13-game winning streak going into the county finals. They even won game one, before South Side was able to take games two and three to advance to the LIC. Sean Lane Captures the 2021 Axcess x Baseball Lifestly HR Derby
We’ve hosted three HR Derbies and this was by far the most electric. Eight of the top power hitters on Long Island gathered at Diamond in the Pines and fireworks ensued. The participants were: Sean Lane (St. Dominic) Nick Roselli (Division) Kyle Kozlowski (Holy Trinity) Dylan Banner (Plainview JFK) Jack Halloran (Westhampton Beach) Anthony Lods (Chaminade) Mikey Brunetti (Manhasset) Evan Virno (Bellport) Sean Lane put on an absolute performance in the first round, smashing 12 home runs which was the most of any player. Manhasset Enters 2021 With a Great Problem to Have
Four games per week. Seven innings each game. Many teams all over Long Island are struggling with piecing together that many innings from their pitching staffs that are young and/or inexperienced. Manhasset is one of the few teams that enter 2021 with the opposite problem. Head Coach Mark Giardino stated they have seven pitchers that have great stuff and that they’re confident in to get outs. “To be honest, with the staff we have, we will determine our pitching rotation game-to-game,” said Giardino. “The first week we are going to try to get as many guys on the mound as possible,” he added. 13. Brady Steinart (Chaminade) Has grown a lot since this video, he close to 6’3 now. As a SS, that’s pretty rare, but he does appear to have the athleticism to stick. I really like the balanced swing in the video, looks like that will translate into extra base power. 12. Jake Moss (Manhasset) He’s already in the low 80s on the mound and has no nerves. He went 6.2 innings in his varsity debut as a freshman, needing just 70 pitches.
