He finished with 4 strikeouts and only allowed two base runners, one on a walk and anoth...
You couldn’t have had two more different ballgames in this double header. Merrick Mayhem and Bayside Yankees split an 11u DH at Cantiague Park on Friday night with the Mayhem winning Game 1, 2-1, as Bayside Yankees got even in the night cap, 8-5, in a game that featured plenty of late-inning drama. by Chris Donnelly FINAL: Mayhem 10 Titans 7 @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/U7eYVNwY57 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 9, 2023 In a 9u matchup between the Merrick Mayhem and LI Titans in an East Coast League game the Mayhem were doing everything right leading to a 10-7 win over the Titans in a high-scoring game. To start the game and get things going the Mayhem trotted Lucas DiDemenico to give them a great chance to win. The Titans got to DiDemenico early loading the bases with a couple of singles and a walk. Gabriel Lettieri started the scoring with a ground out to the first baseman giving the Titans a 1-0 lead. They didn’t stop there, 2 passed balls brought in 2 more runs giving the Titans a 3-0 lead after the top of the 1st. The Mayhem answered back quickly with a leadoff...
by Chris Donnelly Postgame interview of Sam McManus and Coach Chuck on their 7-3 semi final victory over the South Shore Chiefs in the Memorial Weekend Championship pic.twitter.com/uor0staGVK — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 29, 2023 The Merrick Mayhem took on the South Shore Chiefs in the semi finals of the Memorial Weekend Championship 10u division held at Lasorda Legacy Park. The game did not disappoint as the two teams came out swinging both putting up runs early to make the game seem like it would be a high scoring game. The starting pitcher for the Mayhem, Sam McManus, worked through some trouble in the 1st surrendering 1, but the Mayhem offense did not disappoint in the bottom half. After the leadoff batter, Angel Thompkins, was hit by a pitch, he did some damage of his ow...
by Gabe Zoda Spoke with Coach Brendan and Tommy Terzulli after their Run Rule victory over the Seminoles. pic.twitter.com/HJxS2y9Wkm — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 6, 2023 The B1000 Seminoles and Merrick Mayhem matched up in 12u action on Saturday evening. Merrick used really good baserunning alongside good situational hitting all game long to pour on run after run, leading to their 14-4 run rule victory over the Seminoles. The Mayhem would get their run scoring started in the bottom of the first. Brady Kalkau started off the game by reaching on an error. Mayhem would use his speed perfectly to get to 3rd base with two steals, putting him in perfect position for Ethan Mann with no outs. Mann then placed a ball perfectly to the right side of the infield, allowing Kalkau to scor...
by Gabe Zoda Spoke with head coach Brian and Gavin Jurek after their victory over Team Francisco. pic.twitter.com/bRzm3KDM1m — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) April 15, 2023 Merrick Mayhem used a first inning grand slam by Gavin Jurek to overtake Team Francisco in the second game of a double header on Saturday morning. Mayhem fell to Team Francisco in the first game by 1 run in a game that was back-and-forth the entire time. In between games, the mentality was to shake off the loss in the first game and reset. Reset they did and it all started right out of the gates when Mayhem put up 6 runs in the top of the first. The offense started with a single by Matthew O’Brien followed by back to back walks by Andrew Pucella and Griffin Kelson. This set an early stage for Gavin Jurek to make ...
by Gabe Zoda Baseball can end up being a game of runs, and this game between the Kings Park Knights and Mayhem Baseball definitely showed this. This game would end up only going 4 innings with a final score of 15-5. It started pretty good for the Kings Park Knights as they took the first game of the DH and started off the 2nd game well after they scored 2 runs in the first inning. Noah Padilla, the leadoff batter for the Knights, started things off with a single. He would then steal 2nd and 3rd to get himself in a perfect spot to score. Dylan Schor sealed the deal one batter later with an RBI single to center field. Dylan stole 2nd and then moved over to 3rd on a groundout. This put him in a spot to score on almost anything. That opportunity would present himself in the form of a passed...
by Ethan Berch That’s the game! 13-12 victory for the Merrick Mayhem over the LI Storm! pic.twitter.com/MAjLbJC18r — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 4, 2020 When you think of 9 year old baseball and games that are only 1 hour and 50 minutes, what do you think of off the bat? How about 15 total runs in just 5 innings! In the first game of a Labor Day Weekend tournament in the Boys of Summer, the Merrick Mayhem took on the Long Island Storm in an offensive showdown. Kurt Rauschenbach got the start for Mayhem. The scoring started very early in this one when Lucas Pagnotta of the Storm ripped an RBI double to get them on the board 1-0. But without hesitation, Mayhem answered back with 4 runs in the bottom half of that inning off of LI Storm’s starting pitcher, Owen McCann. Hayde...
