They had everything going early and they never took their foot of the gas until the game was over. There were many contributors in this 8-0 run rule win over Knights Nation today, but none shined brighter than Jaden Schmidt. An outstanding performance both on the mound and at the plate, this performance by Quiñones was a great example of putting the team on his back in a big game, something that very few athletes are capable of doing. Quiñones did give up a run early to the Chiefs when Matthew Sharon hit an RBI Single to center field that gave the Chiefs an early 1-0 lead. The game between the Massapequa Cyclones and the Sharks Baseball Academy finished by a final score of 18-5 Cyclone victory. On the bump to start the game was Benji Brooks, he would retire the first two hitters of the game before getting into a bit of trouble. A triple was laced by number three hitter Blake Ferraiolo followed up by the first ever over the fence home run by Anthony Toto. There was action from the get-go, so it was evident that it would be an exciting game early on.
