The Thunder in the 1st inning continued to pass the baton to the next batter as they sent 12 batters to the plate in the opening frame. Nick Rugen, Daniel LaForest, Johnny Puglissi all contributed all picked up 1 RBI in the inning. Max Goodman, and Sean Barodin joined in with 2RBIs each with Barodin hitting a double to score 2 and Goodman had a chance to get 2 at bats during the 7-run rally, both times hitting singles. Thunder Bats Lead the Way in 16-1 Win over the South Shore Tides
by Nicholas Cipolla There was no shortage of offense for the Thunder this afternoon as they were able to get 16 runs across the plate in a mercy rule victory over the South Shore Tides. After Nick Caroli led off the bottom of the first by reaching on a throwing error, Frank Stella gave his team a 1-0 lead with an RBI Single up the middle. Jake Burlock ripped a two run single of his own to make it a 3-0 affair with no outs in the bottom of the first. The Tides finally recorded the first two outs when Sean Barodin hit an RBI groundout to make it a 4-0 game. With two outs in the same inning and runners on second and third, the Tides pitcher made a curious decision to try and pick off the runner at second base.
