The Johnnies scored in all but two innings en route to a complete performance and win over the Broncos. Division-I: Hofstra vs St. John’s G1: St Johns 3 – Hofstra 2 G2: St John’s 10 – Hofstra 1 The Hofstra Pride and St. John’s Red Storm battled in a double header in Queens that saw the Red Storm defeat the Pride in both games. They won 3-2 in the opening game before exploding to a dominant 10-1 victory in game two. For the Red Storm, they have won four in a row, and remain undefeated at home. Despite collecting nine hits to the Hokies eight, runners left on base killed the Seawolves, who left 11 runners on base during the game. Only one Seawolf collected an RBI in the game. Brett Paulsen scored Cam Santerre on a walk. The other two Seawolves runs were scored by Evan Fox and Ryan Micheli on an error. All three Seawolves runs came in the seventh inning. Here’s how it went down: Division-I Stony Brook 5 – LSU 2 The Stony Brook Seawolves went on the road and shocked the No. 2 ranked Louisiana State University Tigers 5-2. After the two teams scored two runs each in the second inning, the Tigers were held scoreless for the remainder of the game, while the Seawolves offense scored one run in the fourth, and two in the eighth to give Stony Brook an improbable victory over LSU, handing the Tigers there first loss of the year.
