Recap of Blue Chip Prospects’ College Coaches Camp

In terms of local events, Wednesday’s College Coaches Camp featured some of the best talent I’ve seen on one field. Additionally, the group of 50 players were able to play on St. John’s beautiful Jack Kaiser Field in front of roughly 20 college coaches from a mix of Division-I, Division-II and Division-III schools. The event began with the players taking batting practice on the field in front of the coaches before transitioning into defensive drills. The outfielders went first, followed by the catchers, then the infielders. Following the defensive showcase, a 13-inning game followed. Recapping Wednesday’s Underclassmen Showcase

It’s not often you get some of the top uncommitted players on Long Island all in one location. Additionally, it’s not often high school players get the opportunity to play in front of 19 Division-I & II coaches. That’s what occurred on Wednesday at Long Island Indoor Sports in Ronkonkoma for the Underclassmen Showcase.
