Coming off back-to-back conference championships in 2016 and 2017, Seaford took a bit of a step back last year. They finished 12-9 and dropped both playoff games by a score of 4-2. After graduating 12 seniors and ending the season with two consecutive losses, it would seem Seaford is expecting to fill a significant amount of holes if they wish to be conference championship contenders once again. For many reasons, the Vikings are hanging their head high and staying optimistic for the 2019 season. “We are very excited about the large amount of juniors that played a lot as sophomores in 2018,” stated Head Coach Mike Milano. The pitchers brought their ‘A’ game but it was Nassau who prevailed with a 3-1 win. The big blow came on a two-run single in the bottom of the 6th off the bat of Billy Bianco of North Shore–who was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. The inning began with Jim Mendyk getting drilled on an 87 MPH fastball by Dom Savino of Smithtown East.
