by John Sullivan Postgame interview with Jonathan Moya, who went 5 and a third with only 1 run given up on 3 hits and 6 strikeouts pic.twitter.com/zyBXvQsIFo — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 11, 2024 After dropping game 1 of the doubleheader to B1 Ghost, LIB Prime was poised to jump on B1’s starter, Jonathan Moya. LIB lead off batter, Frank Stella, did just that, as he ripped the first pitch he saw down the left field line for a double. Alex Catania and Dylan Babek then both worked walks to load the bases with no outs. Anthony Sanchez then came through with a single the other way to put LIB up 1-0. With the bases loaded, no outs, and 1 run already scored, it looked like a possibly disastrous inning for B1. But, luckily for them, Moya settled down in a big way and get two backwar...
by Chris Donnelly Game 1 FINAL 6-3 LIB Prime over Mudcats Black pic.twitter.com/W6N5XXY9aL — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 18, 2023 In an evenly matched game, the 13u LIB Prime took on the LI Mudcats Black and took game 1 with a 6-3 Victory. It started in the first as both starting pitchers Quincy Gibbs (LIB Prime) and Chris Morrissey (LI Mudcats Black) both looked good early. Gibbs and Morrissey kept the game tied at 0 heading to the 3rd. The 3rd was when it got interesting as LIB Prime took the lead on a balk to go up 1-0 heading to the bottom of the inning. The LI Mudcats Black responded with a few walks and a single loading the bases with one out and Luca Perrotta coming up. Perrotta did some damage as he cleared the bases with a double giving the Mudcats the 3-1 lead going...
by John Sullivan Frank Stella shuts the door for LIB. They win 4-2 pic.twitter.com/fFm4qHuAye — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 5, 2023 This 14u boys of summer matchup was a battle between two teams with very good pitching. James Famiglietti got the start for LIB and Ricky Guzman got the ball for the B1000 Seminoles. Famiglietti got off to a great start for LIB as he got through the first inning scoreless with 2 strikeouts. Guzman responded with a scoreless inning of his own, despite getting into a second and third jam with only one out. In the second, James Famiglietti put up another scoreless inning after working around a lead off double from Brendan Martin. Although he threw a scoreless first, Ricky Guzman was pulled for Noah Gross in the second inning. In this inning, after...
by Brian Honka Post game interview with 15u LIB-Prime head coach Chuck Lodato. pic.twitter.com/g5IPj9eJrD — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 18, 2022 Game 1 The 15u LIB-Prime started the LI Boys of Summer Fall season by facing off against Yeti Baseball. They started the game off hot with good discipline at the plate with a total of 5 hits and 2 walks in the inning making the score 5-0 before their pitcher even took the mound. Ben Cohen, Jacob Kouba, and Ryan Tullo all had RBI hits during the inning. In the top of the fourth inning, LIB-Prime’s bats were at it again with back-to-back 2-run doubles from Ryan Buckhalt and Jacob Kouba to extend their lead to 9-0. Sawyer Bogaty was basically untouchable for LIB-Prime until the fourth inning when Yeti was able to get bases loaded...
by Ethan Berch A great interview with the winning coach of LIB! 14-2 victory (F/4) pic.twitter.com/9UZDdXFtdj — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 7, 2020 Labor Day Weekend, some hot dogs, hamburgers, cold drinks and some championship baseball games! LIB Prime took on the Queens Marksmen in the Boys of Summer Labor Day Weekend 12u championship game. Cantiague Park in Long Island was busy when LIB put on an offensive explosion. LIB wasted no time getting on the board against the Marksmen starting pitcher Joey Veterano. They were able to put across two runners early following a drop third strike that got away which scored a run, and another error which put home another run. Paul Brito would then waste no time capitalizing on that when he ripped an RBI double over the center field...
What an exciting ballgame it was despite the oppressive heat at Baseball Heaven. This was a semifinal match up in the Perfect Game New England Select 15U with a trip to the finals on the line. LIB Prime sent their ace, Sadier Vicioso, to the mound against Team Beast, who sent hard-throwing RHP Engel Silvestre. Early on, it appeared this was all LIB Prime, who had the right offense approach against Silvestre. They took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Sean Costello to score Tim Henning – who led off the inning with an infield single to second. Silvestre wound up striking out three in the inning, as he did in the first inning but the high pitch count in the heat certainly benefited the offense. Vicioso, in the meantime, was dealing. The southpaw is ever...
LIB Prime wasted no time taking a 1-0 lead after just two batters when Billy McAdam drove in Mike Cartusciello with a line drive double to right-center field. They opened up a 5-0 lead with a four-run third inning and it appeared they had the game in-hand. The Crawfish, however, mounted a furious rally in the top of the fourth with five runs to tie it up at 5-5. Both teams’ offense went dormant for the final three innings and the game ended in a tie. The Crawfish’s rally began with a hit by pitch of Nick Raggione. Consecutive singles from Nick Romano and T.J. Noonan loaded the bases for Bobby Heffernon who drew a walk for their first run of the game. A routine DP was thrown away by the shortstop to score another run and another bases loaded walk to John Girgonis brought in thei...
