On to the Sweet 16! 2026 BodyArmor Vigeant moves on with a come from behind 9-8 win! Down to their last out, Bobby Wescott hits a game tying home run! In extras, Caiden Erker hits a Grand Slam! Congrats boys! @axcessbaseball #TitanNation pic.twitter.com/Ieux8SKIwA — Titans (@TitansBsb) July 12, 2024 Bobby Wescott had a terrific 2024 season for the Plainedge Red Devils. Though he was just a sophomore, he led the way offensively with a .420 batting average, .553 OBP and incredible 1.321 OPS. He compiled 29 hits, six doubles, six triples, four HRs, drove in 29 runs and scored 15 runs. He recently announced his commitment to Stony Brook University. He still has two full seasons of high school remaining, which is certainly bad news for opposing pitchers. His coach Colin Fratrik had the followin...
by Jacob Infald In today’s fast paced environment, most baseball fans believe that the most exciting contests are those that are high scoring and fast paced. However, yesterday’s LI Boys of Summer 15U American division doubleheader between Titans Manzi and South Shore Elite proved just the opposite, that low scoring pitching duels can be just as exciting as a slugfest. In two games that featured dominant pitching from both squads the two teams tied game one 3-3, while the Titans came out on top, winning the second game 3-1. Game 1: We spoke with Aiden Prashad (Holy Trinity 2027). Aiden fired 6 and 2/3 innings for Titans Manzi and while the game did end in a tie, Prashad played great, striking out 11 and going 1-1 at the plate with a triple and two walks. pic.twitter.com/gSXvAWOVp3 — Axcess...
by Brian Honka Post game interview with Joey Aronica pic.twitter.com/k3gf3ukq9C — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) November 5, 2022 With the 15U Boys of Summer Fall championship on the line, the LI Titans took on the LIB Prime on a warm afternoon at the PAL Stadium. The Titans sent Aaron Zacharia to the mound to face off against Eli Sierra. Both pitchers would be on their ‘A’ games as neither would back down from a challenge both teams would get runners on base in each of the first 3 innings but great pitching and good defense from both teams stopped the runners in their tracks. In the 4th inning, the titans would have the best scoring chance of the game to this point from either team with runners on 2nd and 3rd but Eli Sierras 4th strikeout of the game ended the inning. A...
by Chris Prystupa FINAL: LI Titans: 8 Islip Owls: 0 Andrew Asaro fired a CG Shutout to seal the championship victory pic.twitter.com/BgAm2FVumn — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 20, 2022 The LI Titans-Robles became Boys Of Summer 15U National Division Champions as they shutout the Islip Owls 8-0 this afternoon. In what was a rather lopsided affair at Brentwood State Park, the Titans had it all working for them right from the very first inning. The first two batters of the game would reach base on a single and a hit by pitch, setting the table rather early against Owls Jaden Schmidt. On an attempted first to third pick off move the Owls couldn’t find an out, leading to the Titans drawing first blood. Joseph Scarabino would proceed to line one over the Owls first baseman to bring...
by Andrew Connors Another 2 runs come across for the Titans with Matt Francisco’s RBI single through the right side of the infield. pic.twitter.com/ogD5qgyHC4 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 18, 2021 Saturday afternoon was the textbook definition of a perfect day for baseball, as we had some 14u Boys of Summer action between the LI Titans Robles and the East Meadow Mustangs. The Mustangs entered play with a record of 1-2, while this was the second game of the year for the 1-0 LI Titans. Gabe Newman was the starting pitcher for the East Meadow Mustangs, but the Titans jumped on him immediately. The Titans put up six runs in the first inning by way of five hits, 2 of which being extra base hits. However, Neman settled in and redeemed himself, pitching a very quick 2nd inning...
by Nicholas Cipolla Post game interview with Alex Goldstein of the LI Titans after a dominant outing in the championship game pic.twitter.com/nRnnbDSmOg — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 21, 2021 Alex Goldstein appears to have saved his best outing this summer for last as he was near untouchable in tonight’s championship game between the LI Titans Palermo and Dodgers Nation Jasmin. This game was the definition of a pitcher’s duel that unfortunately someone had to lose. Final: LI Titans: 1 Dodger Nation: 0. Alex Goldstein goes the distance and strikes out 9 in a complete game shut out pic.twitter.com/FJK9WOsBnV — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 21, 2021 Goldstein was unbelievable and his coaches probably couldn’t have asked for a better start out of him. by Aaron Rothschild I had the pleasure yesterday of watching two teams loaded with talent play some ball. The Long Island Titans Farrell and the EastEnd Aviators Anzalone 16u. The Titans would go on to win the game 14-2 in four innings out of a scheduled 9. The Titans came up to bat against Aviator starting pitcher Tyler Lopez, the game would be led off with a leadoff double by EJ Ettinger and a walk would follow. After a pop up, cleanup hitter Scott Northrop would hit a hard ground ball to second taking a funny hop past the second baseman and ending up in deep right center, 2 runs would score and Northrop would find himself on third. A sac fly would bring in Northrop and after consecutive walks and a double steal Myles Maldanado would plate two more with a single making it a 5-0 game. ...
Amazing moment as Long Island native Jacob Steinmetz becomes the first Orthodox Jewish athlete to get selected in the MLB Draft pic.twitter.com/giZgs8GELh — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 12, 2021 It’s one thing to get drafted in the third round as a Long Island native, it’s another when your high school doesn’t have a spring season, but what Jacob Steinmetz did was become a trailblazer. The 6’6 Woodmere-native became the first Orthodox Jewish athlete to get selected in the MLB Draft. To say it was against all odds would be an understatement – especially considering less than two years ago he was a virtual unknown that was looking to pitch at the collegiate level. Over the past year, his stock has soared meteorically as his fastball has increased an...
by Aaron Rothschild Ryan Buderman on the double header sweep pic.twitter.com/HnKF2bsQbo — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 10, 2021 It is always a treat to be able to watch good baseball at any level, but it is especially rewarding when the athletes are just eight to nine years old and play well above their age. The LI Titans Buderman would sweep the double header from Team Beast Black by scores of 7-6, and 12-2. The game started with a 1-2-3 inning that induced a ground out as well as two strikeouts for starter Brody S. The Titans would come to bat in the bottom of the inning where Joey F. would make it onto third but would be left stranded after a strikeout from Team Beast Starter Simon Morris. In the second Brayden Bjornson would strike a one out double and would steal a bas...
