Sean Tierney Ignites Long Island Titans Giaco in the First to Secure 9-3 Win Over LIB
By Lou Accumanno The Long Island Titans had the right offensive mindset during their matchup against the LIB Enriq- Scout team. Kyle Pellegrino was on the mound for LIB Enriq-Scout and got off to a shaky start walking his first two batters. The powerful slugger, Sean Tierney was up to bat and crushed one to left field for a double to send both runners home giving the Titans a quick 2-0 lead to start off the inning. More problems approached in the inning for Pellegrino as he walked another batter compounded with a wild pitch. Tierney decided to steal not one, but two bases off the wild pitch to extend the lead 3-0. LIB decided to make a change and put in Liam Walsh, but this offense continued firing balls in the gaps.
