by Nicholas Cipolla RBI Double for Frankie Kentoffio to knock in two more runs. 9-0 lead for Long Island Strong in the bottom of the 4th pic.twitter.com/hETaN0lniR — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 23, 2021 Long Island Strong proved the old saying “you can’t win with just one guy” wrong today, as they went out and dominated as a team in their 9-1 mercy rule win today against Yeti Baseball. Offensively, the bats showed up in the first inning and didn’t cool off at all throughout the game. The first runs of the game were knocked in on a two out, two run RBI single between third and short by Jackson Vaccariello, who advanced to second on the throw to the plate. The next batter, A.J Giel, reached on a throwing error allowing Vaccariello to score from second.  In the next inning, Long...

LoGiacco’s Two-Run Hit Helps LIB Tides Take Game 2 of Double Header

by Benjamin Diamond Post Game Interview with Anthony LoGiacco: pic.twitter.com/wK372CVGPV — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 19, 2021 Game 1: The first game of the Saturday two game set did not have a lot of fireworks. The pitching in this game took the spotlight. Tri-State Arsenal’s starter Chris Leavey had a day to remember, going 5.0 innings with only 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, no runs allowed and even better, no hits allowed. His start set up the bullpen to only need to take care of two innings to secure the no-hitter. Unfortunately, they were unable to do so when the Tides were able to get two hits in the bottom of the seventh inning while also knocking in the game-tying run locking the game at 1. The game would end in a tie but the pitching was undoubtedly the highlight.  ...

Big First Inning Is All The Aviators, Schneider Need

by Nicholas Cipolla Interview with the winning pitcher of tonights game, John Schneider pic.twitter.com/uWj7ZsU0Mb — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 16, 2021 During today’s midweek battle at Stony Brook, the East End Aviators starting pitcher had one big thing on his mind that helped motivate him throughout the game, a test he has to take tomorrow morning. John Schneider told us postgame “I wanted to make it a quick game, I have a big test tomorrow.” and he did just that. Schneider had a great showing tonight, keeping it very quick as he allowed very few runners to reach base and was getting ahead of hitters early in the count. Schneider also received a lot of insurance runs early in the game with a big first inning. A two RBI single by Jackson Loper opened up the scoring for the...

Sacks was dominant from the moment he stepped out on the field in game 1. Striking out 6 batters in the first two innings of play. He was fired up and seemed to be extremely confident from that moment on. He ended up finishing his day after 5 innings striking out 12 batters and only allowing two runs to score on four hits. Offensively, Brad Sakellarides had himself a day. Sakellarides was 2-for-3 with a double, single and two RBIs. His teammate, Elian Pimentel, also hit an RBI triple later in the game and ...

Nick Piazza’s Bases-Clearing Hit the Difference in 3-2 Victory

by Ben Diamond Post Game Interview: Nick Piazza pic.twitter.com/btuVTDYDaQ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 12, 2021 The Batting 1.000 Seminoles and the LIB Tides played a close low-scoring game. Both starting pitchers set the tone of the game early. For the Seminoles sending out right hander James Weedon to start the game and the Tides sending out Robert Wagner. To start, it looked as though both starters could go far into the game. Wagner started by striking out 4 of the first 5 batters to come to plate. But it didn’t last long, in the fourth inning Wagner got into a jam where he ended up surrendering an earned run on a Richie Apollo single. That was all he would give up as the Tides coach decided to bring reliever John O’Hannon. His final line was 3.1IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 4 K and 1 ...

John Schneider’s One-Hitter Fuels Aviators Over Empire, 3-1

By Andrew Connors EastEnd Aviators winning pitcher John Schneider talks about his performance and what he plans on doing in order to keep elevating his level of play. pic.twitter.com/2wWYFvY2nm — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 24, 2020 They say that stars come out and perform best under the bright lights, and that was certainly the case in Friday night’s 16U matchup between the East End Aviators and the Long Island Empire. Despite some early scoring, it was evident after the first couple of innings that there wasn’t going to be much offense produced from either lineup, so it was on the pitchers and defense to step their games up. Danny DeBruin was on the mound to start the game for the Empire and he looked very sharp out of the gates. He racked up a pair of strikeouts and ret...

Lions Baseball Cruises Past North Shore

pic.twitter.com/LwdQ3C7LvN — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 14, 2020 The Lions Baseball offense came alive on Wednesday night in a LI Boys of Summer match up. They were able to get offense from their whole lineup. After the game, Lions Baseball pitcher Alex Czarnomski was asked about the performance of his teammates and he said, “We battled with good at-bats and got a lot of walks and got base runners on and good things will happen”. When asked how he was able to pitch in the middle of the game and shut the other team down, Alex said “I was just trying to throw strikes. My fastball was working and I decided to stay with my fastball. My defense did a good job behind me tonight”.  The North Shore pitcher got the first out of the game but quickly ran into trouble.
