Cam Leary’s Grand Slam Forces Tie Between HDMH Grey and LI Thunder

Cam Leary rips an RBI double down the right field line to score Ryan Micheli and HDMH takes a 1-0 lead in the third pic.twitter.com/QmafFZ0Z4Y — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 7, 2020 It appeared to be a slog of an ending to a double header split on a dreary day in Holtsville, NY but after three consecutive walks and one bolt of lightning off the bat of Boston College-commit Cameron Leary, the game was all tied up at 6-6 – which ultimately was the final score after the game reached the time limit. HDMH was trailing 6-2 in the top of the sixth in a game that they hadn’t mustered much offense, but their patience paid off against Lou Puccio, who walked Matt Alifano to start the inning as well as Nick Harvey and Rob Copozzi to set the stage for the dynamic outfielder. He...

OTD: Farmingdale Cruises Into the Semifinals

Farmingdale is onto the semifinals! FINAL: Farmingdale 8 Calhoun 1 WP – Justin Rosner (Complete game) pic.twitter.com/4sD41oRuzC — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 20, 2018 For the second time in the past ten days, Farmingdale was on the brink of elimination. Again, they came out on top. The Dalers defeated Calhoun by a score of 8-1 and secured a spot in the Class AA semifinals. When the pressure is at its climax, Justin Rosner always finds a way to stay calm. Once again, his best stuff came in an elimination game. The sophomore finished the day going the distance, allowing only one earned run while striking out nine. “Everything was working for me, my slider I like to keep them off balance to start them out and then come in hard with the fastball,” said Rosner. “Even if I’m ...

OTD: Justin Rosner Fires Complete Game Over Massapequa

Final: Farmingdale 4, Massapequa 1 WP: Justin Rosner (CG, 7 K) pic.twitter.com/kCKD7ax023 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) April 15, 2019 After a rough opening series against Oceanside last week, the Farmingdale Dalers were looking to get back in rhythm, as they took on rival Massapequa. The Dalers got just what they needed from their ace Justin Rosner, against a team that put up 71 runs last week against Hempstead. Rosner faced a tough Massapequa lineup and he was dominant as he struck out 7 and only allowed 1 earned run through 7 innings, in a 4-1 victory. From the start, it was obvious that Justin Rosner and Farmingdale were in control of this game. After a scoreless top half of the first, Massapequa had a runner in scoring position with two outs in the bottom of the first for UNC...

Syosset Surges In Late Innings, Defeats Farmingdale 4-2

Freshman Jacob Lee is the @BsbLifestyle101 player of the game, as he led the charge in Syosset’s comeback victory. pic.twitter.com/LlBzlMaX9X — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) April 29, 2019 On Monday afternoon, it was Syosset who got the best of Farmingdale, prevailing to a 4-2 victory in extra innings. Before the game started, it was evident this was going to be a game of inches. The reason for that was because of the stellar pitching match up. Syosset called upon Tufts-commit Cameron Mayer to take the mound, while Farmingdale started ace Justin Rosner. Farmingdale got to Mayer first in the second inning, as Robbie Manetta delivered an RBI single to put them on the board. Mayer struggled a little in the early innings, but settled in as the game went on. In the bottom of the 3rd, Kev...

Farmingdale On The Verge Of A Potential County Championship Appearance

Over the past few years, Class AA has been controlled by dominant teams, followed by a few “on the bubble” teams. Constantly classified as an on the bubble team, Farmingdale is ready to change their fortune this season. “This year we need to get over that hill so we can look back, not up at our AA rivals which we have been battling with for the past number of years,” stated Head Coach Frank Tassielli. Following a 10-8 season where they fell to Oceanside in the semifinals, the Dalers know they are on the brink of a potential county championship appearance. Perhaps this is the year they finally get over that bump. The strength of this team is their pitching. Not only do they return several significant arms, but they can be considered one of best pitching staffs in Cla...

Dante Interlandi: Why I Chose Queens College

(Editor’s Note: Dante is a 2019 graduate of Farmingdale High School, where he helped guide the Dalers to a postseason appearance. He recently announced his commitment to Queens College. The following words are his own.) In my whole life as a baseball player, getting to this stage of playing was only a small dream I never thought I could reach. This past Sunday, November 4th, I decided to make the next decision to better my future and commit to Queens College. I couldn’t have been able to make this decision and get to this point in my life without my family, all of my coaches and my teammates. Before I even learned about the entire recruitment process, I would occasionally flip to college baseball games, football games and basketball games and see kids starting to live out their child...

Rosner Works Out of a Bases Loaded Jam, Farmingdale Edges Syosset

Justin Rosner talks about how he got out of the bases loaded nobody out situation. pic.twitter.com/IHmyo8i1gJ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 12, 2018 The weather may not have been ideal for playoff baseball, but that didn’t effect the competitiveness from both Farmingdale and Syosset. Prior to first pitch, there was little-to-no chance that the playoff contest was going to start on time, due to heavy rain. However, when the umpires agreed to allow the game to start on time, a roar of excitement came from both dugouts as both teams were fired up for the do-or-die game. Considering the poor playing conditions, there was no telling how this game would pan out. The Dalers came out of the gates firing, scoring three runs in the first inning highlighted by a Sean Sullivan 2-run...
