It took 10 innings, and it included eight errors and 17 hits but the Panthers won 5-4 on an RBI single by the red-hot Tommy Zeigen. Old Westbury starter Tyler Kapela was terrific–he allowed one ER in six innings, struck out three and walked one. He did not factor in the decision. Nick Dorcean came on in relief in the seventh and struck out six in four shutout innings. They won the first game 2-1 on a walk-off two-run single by Robert Chavarria which scored Cole Peragine and pinch runner Billy McLean.Daniel Zamora threw a seven inning complete game. He allowed only one run, struck out nine, walked two and allowed four hits. It was his third win of the season. The offense was stagnant for six innings, but they came through when it mattered most. The Panthers added five more runs to put the game away and improve to 7-2 on the season.Tyler Kapela recorded the win with five innings, allowing three ER, four hits and three walks while striking out four.
