Baseball fans are certainly familiar with his older brother, Marcus, who also graduated from Patchogue-Medford and attended Duke University where he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round of the 2012 draft. From a League 9 school just three years ago to a fully-independent program that features some of the top players in their graduating classes, it’s been a transformative time for The Stony Brook School Bears. The private school was founded in 1922, but if you ask most Long Islanders, they probably didn’t know the school existed. Despite remaining low-profile, they are soon to be a force to be reckoned with on the baseball field.
