As the clouds parted to make way for a beautiful day at Bethpage Ballpark, Rocky Point took the field against Newfield for a non-league match up. Rocky Point was carried to a 10-3 win by the arms of James Weisman and Colin Brodsky, who allowed just three hits between them, and a strong offensive outing–particularly from the middle of the line up. Not only did Weisman get the win, he drove in the first run of the game on what appeared to be a triple, however on appeal he neglected to touch first on his way around the bases and was called out. Weisman worked well with the lead, walks got him into a couple of jams, but he didn’t allow a hit until the fourth inning.
