St. Joseph’s Sweeps Farmingdale to Push Record over .500

St. Joseph’s Splits With CCNY

Photo Credit: Vinny Messana St. Joseph’s cruised past CCNY in the first game of their DH by the score of 11-4. The offense compiled 11 hits, with Nick Girardi, Joe Calabrese, Dennis McAllister and James Terry all driving in two runs to lead the Golden Eagles. Frank Ziegler started and went five innings, allowing one run on one hit and four walks to record his first win of the season.Chris Bauer threw two innings in relief, allowing two runs to seal the victory.The Golden Eagles opened up the scoring in the second inning on a wild pitch, which scored Calabrese. They broke out with a six-spot in the third to essentially put the game away.  CCNY took the second game by the score of 5-4.They will host Farmingdale in a crucial double header on Monday.
