That was not the case on Tuesday, as they narrowly edged Drew University 5-3, and it took a seventh inning run to break the tie.The Panthers were down 2-1 in the fourth inning but tied it up on a sac fly by catcher Carlos Balmaceda to score Jacob Coners.Drew took the lead in the fifth inning on a bases loaded walk against Justin Mize. After the batter, Nick Schoen came in and relieved Mize. Photo Credit: Vinny Messana The Adelphi Panthers halted their three-game skid with a 10-inning victory over a strong Southern Connecticut team on Tuesday by the score of  5-4. Alex Zykoff, who came in as a pinch-runner drove in  Nick Zito with an infield single to shortstop–which proved to be the game-winning run for the Panthers. After seven innings, the Panthers actually led 4-0 in this game. Starter John Thompson was terrific–throwing six shutout innings, striking out six while walking four and allowing five hits. The offense gave him some runs to work with. Wake Forest transfer Patrick Bryant (Center Moriches ’14) threw 6 shutout innings, allowing five hits, walked one while striking out two. The LIU Post earned the 5-3 victory on Tuesday, behind Dan Jagiello‘s seven strong innings. He allowed one ER, allowed seven hits, three walks while striking out seven. It was his second win of the season. The offense got it going in the third inning on an RBI single by DH Kyle Fagan (4-for-5, 3 RBI), which scored Tom Asbaty. By Jesse Borek PATCHOGUE, NY — Staying undefeated in Skyline Conference play thus far this season, the St. Joseph’s Golden Eagles stunned the Old Westbury Panthers to sweep the doubleheader on the back of a four-run, ninth-inning comeback in the opener. After the shock of scoring four runs in their final at-bat in the nine-inning opener, the Golden Eagles would finish off the Panthers 4-1 in the backend of the cap, moving to 5-0 in Conference play. Today’s Dowling verse LIU Post game has been postponed due to the threat of rain. The game will be made up on Monday for the fourth game of the series.Tomorrow Dowling will host the DH.
