Peter Malone started the game on the mound for the Black Diamonds, while MXE sent out the left-handed Jack Lyke. MXE jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first thanks to a pair of RBI singles, one coming off the bat of Nick Caroli. He would finish the game 1-3 with a pair of runs scored and one RBI.
