The annual unsigned senior showcase is always an event I look forward to covering because I was in their shoes once. I can relate to the athlete that enters their senior year in September with high hopes and began to feel a bit uneasy once all your friends begin to commit. The important thing to understand is that it’s not too late, and if you perform well then the right schools will take notice and you will find the right school. On Saturday, over 10 local colleges were on hand for the event in front of 40 players – a great ratio which allowed the players all to get in front of head coaches and recruiting coordinators. The Titans wasted zero time, putting up two runs in the first inning which was already more than they were able to compile in the previous game. They did not look, and they were able to capture the critical 5-3 win against first place Kellenberg to split the series.
