They are one of the top town teams on Long Island and continue to win tournaments. The Braves took a quick 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Mason Mifsud on a rocket up the middle to score Alex Metaxas. The lead did not last long, though, as the Greendogs responded with a four-spot in the second inning. Gabe Cepeda got things going with a triple to left field and scored on Cole Ferraiolo‘s RBI single to RF. Cole stole second and Dominic Kloepping drew a walk. James Shelley ...

A strikeout will end it as the Greendogs complete an 8-0 victory! pic.twitter.com/ABvwxKE8xf — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 29, 2022 Today was a great day for baseball at Memorial Day Clash at Pops Field in Farmingdale.Farmingdale Greendogs took on the SFX Huskies and it was a game that featured great pitching from Farmingdale and they would end up victorious in an 8-0 game.  On the bump to start the game was Benji Brooks, he would retire the first two hitters of the game before getting into a bit of trouble. A triple was laced by number three hitter Blake Ferraiolo followed up by the first ever over the fence home run by Anthony Toto. The team was so happy to watch him round the bases for the first time by such a young player. Against him was Thomas LaRocco and he threw a gem....

This matchup between the Farmingdale Greendogs and the Plainview Hawks had everything you’d expect from Labor day, the smiles, celebrations and some fireworks.  Once the dust settled in this game the Greendogs would come out victorious with a 7-2 win. Nick Toto had himself a day on the mound as we would end up with a CG while only letting up 2 runs and walking only 2 batters. He threw consistent...

Farmingdale Greendogs Put On a Clinic in 15-0 Win

The Farmingdale Greendogs are an impressive unit. Every time I watch them, they have a habit of either winning via run-rule or walk-off. Today it was the former. The 12U team won by a score of 15-0 over the East Coast Cannons during the Labor Day Bash hosted by East Coast Youth Baseball. Most impressively, they hit the 15-run mark with one out in the third so there was no indication they were done scoring. They did most of their damage during the third inning, where they came to the plate with a modest 3-0 lead. But let’s back track a bit. They sent James Sebber to the mound who, in my estimation, has to be one of the top 12u players around. He contributed on both sides of the ball today. He worked around a lead off single in the first inning to throw up a zero. The Greendogs went to bat i...

Colin Horowitz Slams the Door in Greendogs’ 5-4 Win

Final: Greendogs 5, LIB Nitsch 4 WP: Elijah Sierra S: Colin Horowitz Greendogs advance to the 12U semifinals tomorrow @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/nhkmZpMbQu — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 28, 2020 Coming on in relief against the bottom of the lineup, Colin Horowitz knew he could get the job done but he absolutely wanted to avoid lead off batter, Charlie Nella. Fortunately, he had a free base and put him on to load the bases with two outs and his Farmingdale Greendogs clinging to a 5-4 lead. The young right-handed pitcher showed incredible poise by striking out Dom Santivasci to strand the bases loaded and send his team into the semifinals tomorrow at 3:45 against the CC Crushers. The game had an entirely different feel for the first five innings. The innings breezed by ...

Bryce Howes Hits Walk-Off Grand Slam, Cyclones Win 6-2

Final: Massapequa Cyclones 6, Farmingdale Greendogs 2 Walk-off inside the park grand slam in the bottom of the sixth by Bryce Howes@EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/xhWnkFn09u — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 17, 2020 When you are compiling a list of the most exhilarating moments in a baseball game, there’s two things that are interchangeable at number one and two – a perfect game and a walk-off grand slam. We saw one of those today as Bryce Howes took an outside corner fastball and crushed it down the right field line to allow all three runners to score as well as himself to deliver the 12U Massapequa Cyclones with a 6-2 victory over rival Farmingdale Greendogs in the Brian Moore Memorial Tournament. Howes was doused with water upon crossing home plate by his teammat...

Farmingdale Greendogs Advance to 10U Championship

The Farmingdale Greendogs held off a late rally by Long Island Baseball in which they sent the tying run to the plate after trailing by six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to capture a 10-7 victory. With the victory, they advance to face the Long Island Titans in the 10U Stars & Stripes Tournament. LIB got off to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an error and a couple wild pitches to score Lorenzo D’Ambrosio. The lead did not last long as the Greendogs sent eight batters to the plate in the bottom of the first and crossed the plate three times highlighted by an RBI single by Thursday’s hero Chris Parisi, an error and an RBI single by William Herbert. After a scoreless top of the second, they added three more runs on an RBI single by Justin Ortiz and a two-run double ...

Greendogs Rally Late to Defeat LIB Roar

Through a furious rally in the final inning, the Farmingdale Greendogs successfully pulled off a comeback victory against LIB Roar. The Greendogs struck first. After a leadoff single and stolen base by Anthony Mancuso, Mateo Morales ripped a line drive double to left-center field. However, while trying to stretch it into a triple, Morales was thrown out at third. The Greendogs worked the bases loaded, but were unable to add on to their lead. A combination of some sloppy defense by the Greendogs, as well as patience at the plate by LIB led to them answering right back, putting up three runs of their own in the bottom half of the first inning. LIB extended their lead in the bottom of the second inning without a recording a hit. A hit batsman, a stolen base, an error on a ground ball to the p...
