Diamond Baseball Academy would get on the board early on a 2 out RBI single from catcher Eddie Bonilla in the top of the First. The LI Sharks would answer back quickly as they loaded the basses on a hit by pitch and 4 consecutive walks gave them a 2-1 lead. The Sharks would add a run in the second on an Owen Loomis RBI single giving the Sharks a 3-1 lead. The Thunder jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first when David Spina scored from third on a play where a runner from first ended up getting picked off.
