Fall Ball Series Powered by East Coast S&P: Adelphi University

Tim Feliz batted .359 last year with a .609 SLG. He will be a huge piece of their lineup pic.twitter.com/L6GBkgTtlZ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 27, 2021 Following a 4-7 start to the 2021 season, Adelphi basically needed a miracle to reach postseason play. They needed to get red-hot and get help from their conference foes. That is exactly what happened, as Bill Ianniciello took over at the helm for Dom Scala on April 14 and the Panthers turned their season around – highlighted by a 7-game winning streak to capture the Northeast-10 Southwest Division Regular Season title. In the NE-10 playoffs, they defeated AIC in the semifinal, 8-2, before advancing to face Le Moyne in the southwest division final. They defeated them, 6-4, in Game 1 before losing Game 2 to force a ...

Fall Ball Series Powered by East Coast S & P: Stony Brook University

Stony Brook HC Matt Senk is entering his 32nd season at the helm. Had a chance to speak with him after practice pic.twitter.com/xW2A2t8aV3 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 25, 2021 It’s been about five months since the now-infamous ending to the 2021 season for Stony Brook in the America East Championship against NJIT. Leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning with the bases loaded and threatening to score more, it began raining. The game was called and it was expected they would complete it the following day, Sunday at 10am. Stony Brook entered the game with a record of 2-1 in the tournament and NJIT was 2-0 so Stony Brook would have to hold on to win and win again. But with the lead and home-field advantage it certainly wasn’t out of the realm of possibilit...

Fall Ball Series Powered by East Coast S & P: St. John’s University

David Glancy absolutely crushed a go-ahead 2-R HR to give St. John’s a 3-1 lead in the fifth pic.twitter.com/pPDDnOayo9 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) February 28, 2021 To say that losing seasons are uncharted territory for St. John’s University would bean understatement. The Johnnies, who are arguably the best baseball program in the entire northeast, finished 2021 with a losing record at 19-21. It was their first sub .500 season since 2013 and before that you have to go back half a century. What Ed Blankmeyer, Joe Russo and Jack Kaiser were able to do for that program is truly impressive. With Blankmeyer moving on to coach in the professional ranks with the Brooklyn Cyclones, his longtime assistant and recruiting coordinator, Mike Hampton, took over at the helm. The l...

The Sharks lost 17-13 in a nine inning game that took three hours, 40 minutes to complete and featured 11 pitchers and 32 hits. Sharks HC Dan Pirillo stated that “Bryant is a perennial top-of-the-conference team every year. You know you’re in for a battle against them. E.J (Exposito) hit a HR early and we had some momentum going. But around the fifth inning, the flood gates began to open. We were doing everything we could to stay in ...

That team rolled through the conference tournament with three straight wins on their way to another championship – which was their sixth of the decade. While it appeared they were in great shape to repeat in 2020, the world had other plans and their 2020 season was canceled due to the pandemic after a 3-2 start. The senior...

The move would’ve been exciting regardless of the context but when you consider that the Smithtown native is just two years removed from executing an even more difficult task of reviving New York Tech’s...
