Between their ace, Justin Peralta, being dominant on the bump and Sean Britt’s explosive bat leading the Cyclones’ offense, South Side was in control through all seven innings. Queen College-commit Justin Peralta had great control of all his pitches on the mound today. His fastball was overpowering and his breaking balls were out pitches when he needed them. Last season was the first time they missed the playoffs since 1994. Their 8-3 win over Island Trees definitely helps them work toward their goal. Binghamton-commit Tim Hennig was spectacular on the mound for Wantagh. He went five scoreless innings, striking out five and only allowing five hits.
