Tim Ewring on his game-winning hit and the comeback win for the Jr. Ducks @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/v8DwpxBpne — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 5, 2021 Tim Ewring stepped to the plate in the fifth inning with his Jr. Ducks trailing Beast Crimson, 4-3. After a wild pitch tied the game, there was much less pressure on him and he delivered in a big way, ripping a two-run double to give the Ducks a 6-4 lead. It was a lead they would not relinquish although Beast did threaten in the last half inning. Jr. Ducks Valiendo are a very talented team that entered this matchup with a record of 2-0 in pool play of the Labor Day Bash Powered by Axcess Baseball. They were facing another great team in the Beast Crimson, so it would take a near-flawless effort to come out on top. Afte...
Final: Jr Ducks 5, West Warriors 4 WP: Jayden Reo S: Shane Beatrice@EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/TbZ5xUMSCA — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 4, 2021 When you have a dicey situation in the game, it pays to bring in your best reliever – or someone that can “put out the fire”. With the 12u Junior Ducks clinging to a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning and the WEST Warriors with the bases loaded with one out, they called on Shane Beatrice. After walking the first batter, Seth Schwartz, to bring in a run he then struck out Lucas Whitacre and induced a ground out off the bat of Jacob Krolick to end the inning. It turned out to be a crucial moment of the game as it kept the Ducks in the lead heading to the final two innings. Beatrice wound up firing a scoreless fift...

The Cyclones have had a remarkable year, winning their district tournament last month and this was their first game at the 51/75 field dimensions. “It was a big jump for these guys,” said coach Jon Henchy in regards to his team. “They won the New York State Championships for Massapequa Coast and they’re transi...

by Gabe Zoda FINAL: LI Thunder-Judge win this one by the score of 4-1 over Dodger Nation-LaMarca. pic.twitter.com/8xVz06Fawt — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 24, 2021 There’s nothing better than summer ball, that is true with all ages and the same can be said with this 12u matchup at the Summer Showdown. This matchup was between the LI Thunder-Judge and Dodgers Nation-LaMarca. This game featured some good technical baseball and a lot of fun had by both teams which is the most important part at the end of the day for these guys. At the end of the game the LI Thunder-Judge would take home the victory with a score of 4-1 and good pitching and good defense allowed them to do just that. The offense for the Thunder would start in the 2nd inning as they would get 2 runs and one name ...
by Ben Diamond Game 1: Game Over! A Cameron Mastrelli RBI single wins the game for the Greendogs 4-3 in 7. pic.twitter.com/7cczBDkqIr — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 24, 2021 Early in game one, it seemed as though the Greendogs would win this game without question. But the inability to tack on more insurance runs allowed the Thunder to stay in the game and make things interesting. Early in the game, the Greendogs were able to score a run on an E4, and a defensive miscommunication allowed them to get an early 2-0 lead in the 1st inning. They would then score another run an inning later on a pickoff attempt that got an out but the runner was able to score from third. In both innings where the Greendogs scored, they left runners on base, runs that would have made the game much eas...
by Nicholas Cipolla Johnathon Hayes hits an RBI double to center field to make it a 6-3 game in the bottom of the fifth inning. pic.twitter.com/c5BCcZDe7w — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 22, 2021 The B1000 Seminoles were able to get out to a quick start, and it proved to be too much for the South Shore Sharks in tonight’s game. The Seminoles got to bat first and they really took advantage of the opportunity. Jase Weiner got the game started with a hard single to right, Matteo Fiore followed up with another line drive base hit. Two batters later PJ Campagnuolo reached base on a perfectly placed ground ball that no one on the infield could make a play on it. That gave Michael Midea Jr stepped up to the plate with one out. He hit a ball into the right center gap that dropped in fr...
by Aaron Rothschild Early Sunday Morning the South Shore Chiefs and the Franklin Square Tigers would face off in a double header filled with high level baseball from the two 11u teams in Massapequa. The Chiefs would sweep the double header with scores of 5-1 and 15-2. Game one of the double header was headlined by some great pitching by both teams. Tyler Baktis would get the start for the Chiefs and he was fantastic. In the top of the first he would work around a walk and a HBP to maintain a scoreless first. The Chiefs would then come up to bat and come out hot, a leadoff single by Aiden Van Nostrand followed by two stolen bases would be followed by a pickoff gone wrong at third resulting in a run. Jack Mulligan would drive in the second run of the game on a ground out to second, and an i...
by Ben Diamond Game 1: The talk of game one was the offense for both teams. The LI Jr Ducks scored first in the first inning on an RBI single by Christian Valenti. But the Longhorns struck back right away later in the inning putting up three runs on a 3-run home run by Cole Paulsen. The Ducks would end up coming back from the small deficit, and the two teams would go back and forth until the 5th inning, when the Ducks would break the game open. 3 RBI’s coming from Nolan Carnaccio, and a huge grand slam off the bat of Jayden Robinson gave the Ducks the lead they would not give up. Although in the bottom of the 6th, the Longhorns did put up a fight. Down 14-6 in their final chance to bat, the Longhorns put up 4 runs and left the bases loaded, ending the game at a much closer 14-10. The pitch...

Great finish 8-7 win. @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/trRXlSNcYQ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 13, 2021 When I woke up this morning to see a 10u baseball game I was expecting to see some fun, talented kids who were looking forward to playing some ball. But my words cannot do justice to just how impressed I was with both the level of play and coaching on both sides of the game between the Junior Ducks and the Long Island Storm. This morning at Plainedge Park the Long Island Storm pulled off an impressive comeback capped off by an exciting walk-off double. PJ Dwyer took the mound for the Long Island Storm and got off to a bit of a rocky start, after walking the leadoff batter, and a single ...
by Andrew Connors That’s the ballgame! The Seminoles are your 10u Champions!! pic.twitter.com/zRRuzlEiJx — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) November 8, 2020 Mother Nature must have known there were championship games on Sunday, as the temperature was near the 70s for most of the day. However, the Seminoles’ bats may have been even hotter as they put up a whopping 13 runs in 6 innings against the FS Tigers. Brody Kennedy was the starting pitcher for the Seminoles, and it turned out that he was the only pitcher for the Noles as he threw a complete game. Kennedy was settled in and rolling early on in the game, but the Tigers jumped on him when the third inning rolled around. He allowed three runs in the third inning, but these would be the only runs that Kennedy allowed all night. When al...

Brian Bower started the game on the mound for the Black Diamonds and he put in a very strong performance, giving his team a complete game. Through his 7 innings of work, Bower struck out four Storm batters and walked four as well. His defense played a good game behind him, w...
