WP: Vinny Heller pic.twitter.com/lwkXHGhRI5 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 24, 2022 The wind was howling at Wantagh park on Friday night as the Carle Place Bombers took on the South Shore Chiefs in an 11u matchup in the ECYBL fall league. The game would end after only 3 innings with a final score of 20-6. The conditions were most definitely a factor but the Chiefs caught fire in the cold winds. The Chiefs would send out Vinny Heller to the mound to start, he took care of the bombers pretty efficiently, only allowing one base runner in the inning while also forcing weak contact to allow for easy outs for his defenders behind him. It was in the bottom of...
by Vin Messana Baseball U coach Julien Arcos on their 10-3 win on Friday night over Team Francisco @EcybTournaments pic.twitter.com/Axw3ruQx3s — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 23, 2022 After Team Francisco Notorious 9 opened up the top of the first with a lead thanks to a three-run blast by Sapano, the tides shifted considerably in this Friday night battle between two talented 11u teams in the ECYBL Fall Clash. Baseball U’s offense batted around, scoring five runs to take back the lead and they would never relinquish it. Matteo Rico started it up with a single to center field and he scored on an RBI triple by Lucas Sikiric. Nick Merolla drove him in with an RBI double to make it 3-2. Liam Cruz hit a ground ball to third which was thrown away to score two more runs and...
Christian Calabro fired a complete game shutout and also drove in 3 runs including a 2-R triple to break the game open pic.twitter.com/t4I2rIN5bu — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 5, 2022 There’s been no team more dominant over the past five seasons than the NY Longhorns. The 12u organization ran their overall record to 226-21 after their 12-0 shutout victory in the East Coast Labor Day Bash over the EEP Bandits. As can be seen by the score, they are not just winning tournaments, but they typically win in run-rule fashion against some of their toughest opponents. This game was particularly impressive, as they were able to chase the Bandits’ starting pitcher before recording an out. They posted four runs with the first coming on an RBI ground out by starting pitch...

Gabe Cepeda got things going with a triple to left field and scored on Cole Ferraiolo‘s RBI single to RF. Cole stole second and Dominic Kloepping drew a walk. James Shelley ...

Both teams brought the energy in a rematch of Sunday morning’s pool play game in which the Chiefs came away with a 7-5 victory to enter the finals with a 3-0 record. In the top of the first inning, Team Francisco took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Joee “Moose” Agostino. Trey Alberto drew a two-out walk and stole second base before scoring on Agostino’s hit. ...

Both games featured impressive pitching resilience and some offensive production. Game one would feature a great comeback resulting in a 5-5 tie. The game started with Dodgers Nation starter Salvatore Gallucio firing a scoreless first. Dodgers Nation would then come up to bat and score four early runs on a flurry of base hits including a two-run double by Anthony Branscum Jr. After this, however, LIB starter Zach Sisto would find his rhythm and both pitchers would fire scoreless second innings. In the third, LIB would come up to bat and notch a run...
by Chris Prystupa Championship Sunday continued at Plainedge Park as the Massapequa Cyclones became the ECYB 11U Spring League Grand Slam Champions with their victory over the New York Valor this afternoon. The Massapequa Cyclones offense got it started right off the bat in the first inning with a barrage of hits in their turn to bat. Land and Henchy doubled, and Weiss and Steck singled paired nicely with two walks to help the Cyclones jump out to an early 5-0 lead. The Valor would go quietly in their turn up at bat in the next inning. The Cyclones continued to fire on all cylinders offensively as Weiss, Henchy, and Land continued their big days with more hits including a double, some walks, and a few singles extending their lead over the Valor to 9-0 in the second inning. The third inn...
Here’s a quick few words from Dodgers’ Head Coach Brad Foster on his team battling back today and the hard work they put in this offseason to get to this moment pic.twitter.com/VnxAEFWX2y — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 5, 2022 by Chris Prystupa On a beautiful championship Sunday the Long Island Dodgers Nation came back and finished strong to beat the Roslyn Bulldogs by a score of 9-7. Things were not trending in the right direction for the Dodgers as they went down early to start the top of the first. After a leadoff single and another runner reached base, Giordano plated two runs on an infield single paired with a throwing error giving an early 2-0 lead. The Bulldogs continued with an RBI single from Fischer and an RBI double from Brooks to cap off a great four-run first inn...
by Nick Cipolla Postgame interview with the Islip Owls winning pitcher Jaden Schmidt pic.twitter.com/rUo7OH08xB — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 30, 2022 The Islip Owls were dominant this morning at Eisenhower Park. They had everything going early and they never took their foot of the gas until the game was over. There were many contributors in this 8-0 run rule win over Knights Nation today, but none shined brighter than Jaden Schmidt. Schmidt pitched a gem today, a complete game (5 inning), 2 hit Shutout with 6 strikeouts en route to a Memorial Day victory. The Owls offense was on the attack early and often in this one. Jaden Schmidt helped his own cause in the bottom of the first, grounding into a fielder’s choice but scoring the game’s first run in the process. I...
by Nick Cipolla Postgame interview with Benny Quiñones after an incredible 2-way performance in todays game pic.twitter.com/F6eRyLNRXI — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) May 30, 2022 Benny Quiñones was a one man army in today’s championship game against the South Shore Chiefs. An outstanding performance both on the mound and at the plate, this performance by Quiñones was a great example of putting the team on his back in a big game, something that very few athletes are capable of doing. Quiñones did give up a run early to the Chiefs when Matthew Sharon hit an RBI Single to center field that gave the Chiefs an early 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the first, Quiñones took matters into his own hands and he hit an RBI infield single to the shortstop to tie the game at 1. After this, both Ben...
