Connecticut Cubs Overpower LI Strong with Big 13-1 Win

Massapequa Cyclones in Full Control, Cruise to 12-2 Victory for 11u Grand Slam Spring Champions

by Chris Prystupa Championship Sunday continued at Plainedge Park as the Massapequa Cyclones became the ECYB 11U Spring League Grand Slam Champions with their victory over the New York Valor this afternoon.  The Massapequa Cyclones offense got it started right off the bat in the first inning with a barrage of hits in their turn to bat. Land and Henchy doubled, and Weiss and Steck singled paired nicely with two walks to help the Cyclones jump out to an early 5-0 lead.  The Valor would go quietly in their turn up at bat in the next inning.
