Molloy Holds On To Defeat Dominican, 10-6

Tim Panetta carried a shutout into the 9th inning. He discusses the victory for Molloy pic.twitter.com/H0K4YqVKOm — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) March 17, 2019 Molloy has spent this weekend showing that they know how to score. After a double-header with Concordia, where they scored a combined 23 runs on the day, Molloy added another 10 in today’s win over Dominican. The question with Molloy is not whether they can score enough to win, but whether they can limit the opposition enough.. When they get performances from their starters like the one from today by Timothy Panetta, then Molloy will certainly be tough to beat moving forward. Panetta was dominant on the day, carrying a five-hit shutout into the 9th inning today. He did fall into some trouble in the 9th as Dominican was able ...

Team Fontana Takes Inaugural Home Run Derby 35-31

We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better match up for our inaugural Home Run Derby today at NYIT. Both teams exchanged two points in the second inning from James Myler and Jarred Vanderhoof. In the top of the third, the captain Tim McHugh put up four on the board. His power bat generated several massive flies out to...

Three-Run Third Propels Body Armor to 4-2 Win over Titans-Parso

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbifqwX4G7M&t=1s In a battle filled with current and future Div-I prospects, it was a third inning rally that enabled the Body Armor Titans to come out victorious in a friendly rivalry. In what was dubbed “McGregor vs Mayweather“, Titans-Parso took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a two-run double by Nick Ungar (Connetquot ’18) on a well-struck ball off James Cardinale (Commack ’18) into left center field to score Will Feil (Wheatley ’18) and Chris Peralta (Valley Stream South ’18). That was all the offense they would muster up on this day against a loaded pitching staff. Kyle Johnson (Newfield ’18) came on in relief in the third inning and worked around a walk and a single to Mike Handal (Garden Cit...

Recap of Dominican Republic Trip

What a tremendous experience it was for the 20 players who were a part of Sal Agostinelli‘s All-Star team this past week in the Dominican Republic. The competition was top-notch. All players were either already signed and playing on the Dominican Summer League teams of their respective organizations or very worthy of being signed. In fact, a number of Dominican players were signed right on the spot after their performances on the field. All five of the games were played in front of several MLB area scouts. Here are some notes from the five games. There were 2 teams–one from the class of ’17 and ’18 and one from ’19 and ’20. Each team played the Dominican Summer League teams from the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers...
