Jake Lau got the start for the Bulldogs, and to say he was dominant would be an understatement. Lau went 6 innings, surrendering 1 hit, 0 earned runs, and 11 strikeouts. After the first game of the double header where the Mayhem edged out a 7-6 ending the Storm’s rally in the final inning where they scored 4 and had the winning run-on base, the Storm continued where they left off in game 2. The Storm started the top of the first with a leadoff single and a stolen base giving Jack Foley an RBI chance. It was a pitchers’ duel between the two teams as there were only four runs scored between both teams. Arsenal sent Tyler Pilatski to the mound, and he got into some trouble early. by Chris Donnelly In a Hamptons League Matchup between the Shelter Island Bucks and the Westhampton Aviators there was more than enough offense as the Bucks won 19-8 with a total of 27 runs scored. Luke Mistone started the game for the Aviators striking out 2 in the first and a caught stealing from catcher Waldier Perez to keep the Bucks off the board. Jacob Nolan took the ball for the Bucks and started off strong with a strikeout but, then struggled to find the zone proceeding to walk the next 2 batters. In the 1st inning, starting pitcher Mac Fairbairn struck out the first 2 batters in what looked like to be a 1-2-3 inning until the Diamonds had other plans.
