Notre Dame-commit Brock Murtha had a strong day on the mound, going five strong innings, allowing only two runs with eight strikeouts. A sloppy first inning by Rocky Point resulted in Sayville taking a 2-0 lead. A leadoff walk was followed by a double, which led to Murtha being intentionally walked to load the bases.
