They opened the season with an overpowering 21-2 win over Long Beach. Calhoun made it clear that they are prepared to defend their title and look to repeat. PJ Kakalos took the mound for Calhoun while Dylan Cantwell was on the hill for Long Beach. Fairfield-commit Matt Kalfas was an early spark plug for Calhoun’s offense, singling to left and stealing second in the first.
