The Titans defeated Long Island Baseball, 4-1, in a game where LIB only had two runners make it to second base. Incalcaterra pitched six innings of one-run ball, struck out eight, and allowed only three hits. After Incalcaterra struck out the side in the top of the first inning, the Titans didn’t waste any time putting runs on the board. In the bottom half of the inning, Phillip Krpata ledoff with a line drive base hit up the middle. Krpata then stole both second and third base. Two batters l...

Long Island Baseball was searching for their first win against Diamond Baseball Academy. Although they got things going early, scoring a run in the first inning, they were ultimately unable to come away with the victory, losing by a score of 5-1. Nick Cortes was on the mound for DBA, and it was a shaky first inning for him. He allowed a leadoff double to Joseph Apuzzo, who later came around to score on Michael Aplin’s single to right field. The following batter was then hit with a pitch, but was erased on a fielder’s choice, which left runners on the corners with two outs. Cortes came up with a big strikeout to escape any further damage. On the mound for LI Baseball was Mac Cooper, who got two quick outs. It all unraveled from there, as he gave up a triple to Nick Pinggera. The following b...

It seemed inevitable that rain would take a day of baseball away from the 17u LI Titans-Gutes and LI Baseball. Both teams were determined, however, to get one by Mother Nature and play their Boys of Summer matchup. Despite the weather, the Titans and LI Baseball put together a picturesque 7-inning game that embodied the beauty of the sport. A performance highlighted by powerful pitching outings. A wet ball seemed to have absolutely no effect on this game. LI Baseball starting pitch...

In the bottom half of the first, the Jays scored the only runs they would need off of Bandits’ starting pitcher, Dan Kelleher. Coach Parsolano on his team’s 4-3 victory over Next Level pic.twitter.com/Ljf5WzUA2j — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 10, 2018 When you have an abundance of quality arms, it makes life much easier. LI Titans Head Coach Paul Parsolano made that clear following his team’s 4-3 victory over Next Level Baseball on Tuesday evening at Mitchell Field. He brought in RHP Rob Milopsky (Rocky Point 2019) with runners on 1st & 2nd with 0 out in the 6th inning to protect a 4-3 lead after the previous four batters all reached base via hits to cut the lead to one-run. The Hitter’s Club Hawkeyes overcame a four-run deficit to defeat Team Steel, 9-5, on Thursday night. Evan Christopher started for the Hawkeyes and pitched without any major damage until the top of the 4th inning. Besides an unearned run in the top of third, Christopher had not conceded a run. He got into trouble with the game tied in the top of the 4th, however, has he started to have problems with his command. A bases loaded walk forced in a run and three straights hit followed. Christopher would be replaced, but the damage was done with Team Steel leading 5-1 after 3.5 innings. Hawkeyes head coach Kevin Haverbusch was not happy with his team’s defense, particularly in that inning, but was glad to see some mistakes from Team Steel to get his team back in the game. “We just had to take adv...
