by Brian Honka The South Shore Elite would take on the TC Blackhawks in a Boys of Summer 13U Championship game The Elite would get on the board early and not look back. They came out swinging getting 3 base hits in the bottom of the first with RBIs from Christian Orlandi, a line drive to left from Dylan Sollitto, and Colby Grzelaczyk. DJ Brodi would hit a fly ball that the wind took and kept taking deep enough for the runner from third to score giving the Elite a 4-0 lead after the first inning of play. The Titans sent Aaron Zacharia to the mound to face off against Eli Sierra. Both pitchers would be on their ‘A’ games as neither would back down from a challenge both teams would get runners on base in each of the first 3 innings but great pitching and good defense from both teams stopped the runners in their tracks. NY TRU32 and B1.000 Seminoles Tie in Second Game of a Doubleheader

Game 2 of a doubleheader between these two teams was one full of excitement that had a bit of a lackluster ending as the game ended in a tie due to the time limit. In game one, the Arsenal sent Michael O’Grady to the mound to take on Stevie Hernandez of the Scouts. The Arsenal would get on the board first after a leadoff single up the middle from Patrick Scarangella who used his speed to take second and then advance to third on a passed ball. LI Jr. Ducks South and LI Storm Split Sunday Matinee DH

Game one saw Lucas Chatterton pitch for the Storm and Brandon McLanghlin pitch for the Ducks. The Ducks would get runners in scoring position in the first, but Lucas Chatterton would calm down and strike out the next 3 batters with good pitch execution. The Storm would take the lead after a Zach Fabus walk to lead off the inning who took second base on the next pitch. Freedom Baseball and B1 Seminoles Split Saturday DH

These two games were completely different from each other and saw both squads win one game. The first game was won by B1000 Seminoles by a score of 7-2 while the second was won by Freedom Baseball by a score of 4-1.  The action got started right out of the gates in game one with 2 runs by the Seminoles. Titans starting pitcher Dylan Girard helped himself out by getting an RBI single to make the score 1-0 Titans at the end of the first. The Titans’ bats really woke up in the second as they got hits from Nick Murelli, Dylan Girard, Mason Miles, and a base clearing double from Roman Dixon. LIB-Prime Complete Double Header Sweep in Sunday Matinee

They started the game off hot with good discipline at the plate with a total of 5 hits and 2 walks in the inning making the score 5-0 before their pitcher even took the mound. Ben Cohen, Jacob Kouba, and Ryan Tullo all had RBI hits during the inning.  In the top of the fourth inning, LIB-Prime’s bats were at it again with back-to-back 2-run doubles from Ryan Buckhalt and Jacob Kouba to extend their lead to 9-0.  Sawyer Bogaty was basically untouchable for LIB-Prime until the fourth inning when Yeti was able to get bases loaded...
