Up Next Powered by Ken Kortright State Farm Agency: Joe Maxwell

(This is the fourth installment of the popular “Up Next” Series in which we highlight the top underclassmen across Long Island. Over the summer, he batted .412 with a .505 OBP, 9 doubles, 1 HR, 25 RBIs and ...

Q & A With Tommy Verga on IG Live

I know right now it’s a crazy time. What are you doing to stay sane? It’s crazy. I’ve just been trying to keep after it. He’s been keeping in contact with us, I’ve been texting him. He just wants us all to stay safe and just stay ready in case there is a season, and hopefully there will be. You’re a two-sport star. It’s safe to say William Floyd is a premier football program in Suffolk County as you won another county championship...

Seven Tool Catching Clinic Set to Begin Dec. 3

Building the correct muscle memory from a young age is very important for catchers. It can be close to impossible to reverse engineer years of bad habits. That is why it is crucial, in the opinion of former Milwaukee Brewers catcher Charles Galiano, that players are taught the proper technique as early as possible. Galiano, along with his trusted staff, will be offering their years of knowledge this winter during a 12-week clinic called “Seven Tool Catching“. The clinic will be hosted at BEAST Facility (6133 Jericho Turnpike, Commack) for grades 3-8 and All Pro Sports Academy (990 Station Road, Bellport) for grades 9-12. The mission of this clinic to provide players with professional-caliber instruction in small groups with an emphasis on proper technique. “I want music b...
