The B1000 Seminoles defeated the CN Rebels by the score of 12-4, as they got the bats going early and often against a talented Rebels team that won their first four games of the weekend. The Seminoles, who lost two games, qualified for the playoffs and ran with their opportunity and defeated the Farmingdale Greendogs to reach the finals. In the finals, they jumped out to an early 5-0 lead against Luke Walker. Leadoff batter Gus Sofronis singled to right field and moved to third on a double by DJ Dowling. Cleanup batter Fred Klauck scored ...

They entered the inning with the game tied 4-4 and when the inning ended – they led 10-4 after a series of huge RBI hits. They held on to win by the score of 10-5. Coming into today’s game had to feature two of the hottest teams in all of Long Island. Freedom Baseball, a group that was 13-4 on the year coming into the match up, has been one of the top defensive teams in this league. During their 7-game win streak they’ve only allowed 1 run per game and have had three shutouts. They take on the B1000 Seminoles who have won four of their last 5 games and their coaches say when the offense is on they are a very tough team to beat. They’ve done it on both sides of the baseball throughout this hot stretc...
Dodgers Nation get one back on a balk to score Brendan McCann but Jack Flood ends the inning with a strikeout End of 6: B1000 2, Dodgers Nation 1 pic.twitter.com/gjdMxPqCLy — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 20, 2020 The first five innings of this game took 58 minutes, as it appeared both teams had a flight to catch. The final two innings dispelled that notion, as the pace slowed significantly. Ultimately, the game ended in a 2-2 tie with Anthony Agosta coming through with a game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the 7th with two outs before the time limit halted this one. The pitching match up was Jack Flood (Mineola 2021) for B1000 Seminoles and Nick Schimmel (Bethpage 2021) for Dodgers Nation in this one. Both pitchers brought their ‘A’ games. Schimmel worked a 1-...
B1000 Seminoles outlasted Team Steel in both games of Thursday’s double header in the Boys of Summer/Perfect Game Collegiate League. Each game went six innings due to the time limit, but they both featured compelling action. Here’s how it went down: Game 1: Team Steel jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first off Matt Levine. Jake Woods got things going with a single to right field and a stolen base to get himself into scoring position. After two strikeouts, Matt Schmidt reached on a dropped fly ball by the left fielder to score Woods and get on the board. After a walk and a balk put two more runners in scoring position, Nick Doczy reached on an error by the second baseman to allow the second run of the inning to score. Levine settle down and induced an inning ...
Axcess player of the game Liam Leonard discusses how he felt his stuff was working on the mound today. Leonard entered the game in the top of the 3rd trailing 3-2 and pitched 4 scoreless innings with 5 k’s and only 2 hits allowed, helping lead his team to their 8-3 victory. pic.twitter.com/09vbwA2cd8 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) August 8, 2018 Baseball like most other sports is a game of momentum. One little thing can change the outcome of a game dramatically. In this case, though, instead of one little thing, the more proper thing to say would be one big inning. In a 15u Boys of Summer clash between Beast White and the B1000 Seminoles, Beast White jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the 1st inning. Josh DeCicco drove in Kelly Burke with an RBI single to get Beast off to a ...

Eddie Kasparian on his run-rule shortened no-hitter for the B1000 Seminoles @liboysofsummer pic.twitter.com/XzqvPpe1TM — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 3, 2018 It’s one of the oldest axioms in baseball. You can’t win if you can’t throw strikes. Freedom Baseball learned that the hard way in their 15u Boys of Summer matchup against the B1000 Seminoles on Monday night. Freedom went through 5 pitchers in just a 3-inning game, tallying a total of 14 walks. All those walks led to an easy 15-0 victory for the B1000 Seminoles. The story was not the same on the mound for B1000 as Eddie Kasparian displayed his best stuff on the mound in his short 3 innings of work. Kasparian allowed no hits and walked one batter in the 3-inning game, with 3 strikeouts to boot. Although a 3-inning no-hitte...

After a scoreless top of the 1st thrown by the Titans starter Sanchese, the leadoff man in the bottom of the first manufactured a run. C.J. Cumbo singled, stole second, got to third on a groundout, and scored on a wild pitch. Later in the same frame, after a walk and a hit batter, Sean Kennedy drove one into the alley in left center that would plate a pair. Kennedy, who was at third, scored on a sacrifice fly. “I jumped on the fastball today,” Kennedy said. “I took an ag...
