The Seminoles offensive attack also played a big part in this game. Once they got an early lead, it seemed like the game was o...
Paul Mata slices a 2-R double down the right field line and B1000 opens up a 12-2 lead in the fifth pic.twitter.com/VLvVmBrPH4 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) July 16, 2022 The B1000 Seminoles batted 13 players in their lineup on Saturday and were able to bat around in the second and third innings. By the time the third out was recorded in the third inning, they held a commanding 10-0 lead. They took a modest 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single by Ryan Plocker, but the real fun began in the second inning for them. It all began with a leadoff walk – as is usually the case with big innings – to Aidan Amato. Starting pitcher Joe Bello, more on him in a bit, double to left field and the bases were loaded up with a walk. Paul Mata, who was a big part of South Side...

It was a game that included great defense and pitching as well as some very timely hitting late. By the end of the game the Seminoles came out with a 7-6 victory and this is how we got there. Both teams received outstanding starting pitching, for the Storm Left handed starter Xander Palmer was terrific. And for the Seminoles Sean Stoney was nearly untouchable. The first run of the game did not come until the top of the third when Troy Defrancesco knocked in a run on a single after a flurr...

There was action from the get-go, so it was evident that it would be an exciting game early on. Aaron Levinsohn, the B1000 leadoff hitter, started the game by ripping a double over the centerfielder’s head off Sharks Academy starter Lucas Sikiric. Castillo then reached on an error by the third baseman, which allowed Levinsohn to score. The Seminoles took Game 1 of the doubleheader over the LI Empire by a score of 2-1. The key to this game for the Seminoles was clean defense and two runs early in the game to set the tone. In the first inning, the Seminoles put a man on and sent Andrew Bonnano to the plate. After fighting a couple of pitches off, he served a ball into center and made it a 1-0 game. Nick Farnacci got his day going in the second inning with a 2 out RBI double to make it 2-0 Seminoles in the bottom of the seco...

The Seminoles got to bat first and they really took advantage of the opportunity. Jase Weiner got the game started with a hard single to right, Matteo Fiore followed up with another line drive base hit. Two batters later PJ Campagnuolo reached base on a perfectly placed ground ball that no one on the infield could make a play on it. That gave Michael Midea Jr stepped up to the plate with one out. by Andrew Connors Showcases are an outstanding place for young ballplayers to put their skills on display for multiple college coaches all at once. On July 13th, local travel organization Batting 1.000 Seminoles put on their own showcase where players in their organization showed off their talents for coaches from various Division-I and Division-II schools. Some notable colleges that were in attendance include Seton Hall, Mercy, St. Thomas Aquinas and Sacred Heart among others. Once the showcase’s morning session concluded, Sacred Heart’s assistant coach, Wayne Mazzoni, delivered an excellent speech to the players and surrounding coaches. He preached all the things that big-time scouts are looking for when they show up to watch a player, even at regular games when you think nobody is watch...
by Andrew Connors That’s the ballgame! The Seminoles are your 10u Champions!! pic.twitter.com/zRRuzlEiJx — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) November 8, 2020 Mother Nature must have known there were championship games on Sunday, as the temperature was near the 70s for most of the day. However, the Seminoles’ bats may have been even hotter as they put up a whopping 13 runs in 6 innings against the FS Tigers. Brody Kennedy was the starting pitcher for the Seminoles, and it turned out that he was the only pitcher for the Noles as he threw a complete game. Kennedy was settled in and rolling early on in the game, but the Tigers jumped on him when the third inning rolled around. He allowed three runs in the third inning, but these would be the only runs that Kennedy allowed all night. When al...
