by Ben Diamond Post Game Interview: Nick Piazza pic.twitter.com/btuVTDYDaQ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) June 12, 2021 The Batting 1.000 Seminoles and the LIB Tides played a close low-scoring game. Both starting pitchers set the tone of the game early. For the Seminoles sending out right hander James Weedon to start the game and the Tides sending out Robert Wagner. To start, it looked as though both starters could go far into the game. Wagner started by striking out 4 of the first 5 batters to come to plate. But it didn’t last long, in the fourth inning Wagner got into a jam where he ended up surrendering an earned run on a Richie Apollo single. That was all he would give up as the Tides coach decided to bring reliever John O’Hannon. His final line was 3.1IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 4 K and 1 ...

by Jared Valluzzi b1000 has now taken the lead up 5-4 in the bottom of the 5th pic.twitter.com/AbIPF0xpd8 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 20, 2020 Temperature has dropped and fall ball is underway here on Long Island. Beast Crimson and B1000 both fired up to get on the field and the theme for each team was its new players. Half of the players on each team didn’t play during the summer, so the coaches on both sides were excited to see their new talent in action.  Both teams showed they have the ability to score and it was Beast Crimson getting the party started against pitcher Sean O’Connell. They would get three runners on as two walks and a HBP load the bases in the first. Justin Ortiz would be the one to come up  big for Beast. Ortiz gets a big time hit and all thr...

B1000 Combine For No-Hitter in 2-0 Victory

by Ethan Berch That’s the game! 2-0 Batting .1000 Seminole’s over the South Shore Chiefs! pic.twitter.com/aMhVawmxPM — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) September 18, 2020 Get your blankets, sweatshirts, and coats out and ready because it’s fall baseball time! A late game match up between the Batting .1000 Seminoles and the South Shore Chiefs was a good one under the chilly lights at Cantiague Park. It was a defensive battle throughout with minimal hits, but low scoring baseball never fails to excite! Sal Apap got the start for the Chiefs and he was impressive. Apap pitches from the left side and showed a very good off speed pitch which troubled many of the Noles hitters. Apap struck out three batters through 3.1 innings pitched. He did run into trouble in the fourth inning when Jaiden ...

The final two innings dispelled that notion, as the pace slowed significantly. Ultimately, the game ended in a 2-2 tie with Anthony Agosta coming through with a game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the 7th with two outs before the time limit halted this one. The pitching match up was Jack Flood (Mineola 2021) for B1000 Seminoles and Nick Schimmel (Bethpage 2021) for Dodgers Nation in this one. Both pitchers brought their ‘A’ games. Schimmel worked a 1-...

Zoller also pitched all six innings, finishing with 8 strikeouts and a complete game shutout to lead his team to the 1-0 win. Although it was Zoller who he...
