They scored nine of their 11 runs in the final two innings to turn defeat into triumph. The Pioneers trailed 4-2 in the seventh inning but they broke through with four runs thanks to two runs on a single by Kenny Daley and a two-run error off the bat of Anthony Brunetti. In the eighth inning, they scored five more runs. The first came on another costly error by Bridgeport to bring the Pioneers’ seventh run home. As mentioned earlier, great pitching duels are a staple of the LIU Post-Molloy rivalry. In the first game of the double header it was Alex Brosnan who was dominant.
