by Andy Smith Division-I: Stony Brook 5, William and Mary 7 (10 innings) Catcher Nate Goranson got the Tribe on the board in the opening frame with an RBI knock. Stony Brook evened the score in the third via a sacrifice bunt from backstop Ryan Micheli.  The Tribe got back on top in the following inning with a two-run double courtesy of third baseman Ryan Bhojwani and then tacked on an additional run in the fifth with an RBI single by Goranson.  The Sea Wolves tied the game up once again in the sixth, reaching on a fielding error and following that with a two-run single by right fielder Jason Campo. While both starting pitchers only surrendered one run combined, there were many batters left on base.   In the opening frame, Ayden Deslauriers and Brady McGowan of ESM hit two consecutive singles.  Then, following a stolen base by McGowan and a base on balls by cleanup hitter Tristan Gatchalian, who then swiped a bag, the Sharks had two men in scoring position. by Andy Smith It wasn’t the greatest weather on Long Island on Saturday, so there wasn’t too many of the local teams in action. But here’s how it went down… Division-I:  St. John’s 6, William and Mary 15 Designated hitter Tate Ballestero launched a two-run shot in the opening frame to give the Red Storm an early lead.  The Tribe responded in the bottom half of the inning with two home runs, one each by third baseman Ben Williamson (2 RBI) and center fielder Joe Delossanots (1 RBI) to grab the lead.  William and Mary launched another homerun the following inning, this time by first baseman Cole Ragone, which brought in two more.  The Red Strom got back on the scoreboard in the fourth with an RBI knock by shortstop Jace Jeremiah which cut the lead to just two.  Howeve...

by Andy Smith Division-I: St. John’s 3, William and Mary 4 The bats were quiet through two until St. John’s opened the scoring with a three-run third inning.  Catcher Tate Ballestero crushed a two-run shot and center fielder David Glancy hit a solo home run.  This would be the only chance for the Red Storm to get on the scoresheet.  The Tribe got their first run on board in the bottom half of the third off a solo blast by catcher Nate Goranson.  William and Mary got within one in the sixth off an RBI single by first baseman Cole Ragone.  The Tribe tied the game thanks to an RBI double play in the seventh.  William and Mary walked off the game thanks to a Red Storm fielding error that allowed Goranson to cross home plate.  These teams will continue the three-game set Saturday at 4:00 PM EST...

Hofstra was on the road, and Maritime was able to get their DH in at home. Here’s how it went down. The Mustangs got off to a strong start which established momentum that carried them into a good portion of the season. However, they hit a rough patch but were able to get through it by finishing strong with a sweep of the final series of the regular season series against Seaford. The Mustangs finished with an 8-9 record and lost to Manhasset in the opening round of the playoffs. Entering his 28th season as the head coach is Helms Bohringer, an Adelphi graduate, who also graduated from Mineola in 1985.
