Seminoles High-Powered Offense Brings Them The 10u Championship

However, the Seminoles’ bats may have been even hotter as they put up a whopping 13 runs in 6 innings against the FS Tigers. Brody Kennedy was the starting pitcher for the Seminoles, and it turned out that he was the only pitcher for the Noles as he threw a complete game. Kennedy was settled in and rolling early on in the game, but the Tigers jumped on him when the third inning rolled around. Here at MacArthur Highschool, the 12u LI Titans faced off against the South Shore Elite in a league matchup. This age group will continue play until next weekend before finishing up their fall season. Joe Farina got the start for the Elite. Joe is built strong and throws the ball with great velocity at such a young age. They came away with a clean 4-0 victory. After the game, Yeti’s Coach had this to say about their win, “We played two clean games back-to-back with both shutouts. It was two distinctly different games. They won 7-6 in 9 innings over LI Elite Natale and then 2-0 over Tri-State Arsenal in the championship. Jr. Ducks took game one, 10-3, before Yeti Baseball bounced back in the second game with a 3-2 win. Following the games, coach Tyler Loft had the following to say: “the whole season we been a second game double header team and we talked about it after the game just now and we have to show up earlier for pregame to get our mind set right before the first game to figure it out. I told them that we are better than we showed right there and in the second game we were”. They sent Nick Veiga to the mound and he performed extremely well. He went 5+ innings with three strikeouts and gave up three runs on four hits with two walks.  Tucker Schiavoni gave West Islip an early 2-0 on a 2 run HR in the top of the 2nd inning.
